Call us.
STRANGE SOUND OR SMELL COMING FROM GFCI?

STRANGE SOUND COMING FROM CRAWLSPACE?
To verify if sound is coming from the drainage system, turn off system by pressing the ‘TEST’ button on the GFCI and verifying the green light has turned off. If sound persists, it is not coming from the drainage system. If sound stops and begins when GFCI is reset, turn system back off and call us.
POP-UP EMITTER MAINTENANCE?
Pop-up emitter is where the water being pumped out from the drainage system bubbles out of. This should always be free and clear of debirs such as overgrown grass, and should be regularly checked for any possible damage, especially during wet / snowy seasons.
In cold conditions regularly check for ice buildup.
CRAWLSPACE VENT FANS NOT WORKING?
Foundation vent fans are set to turn on at a specified humidity range configured during installation (45-50%). Humidity may not be high enough for the fans to automatically turn on. They also have a freeze protection that automatically shuts them off below 35 degrees.
If you have a drainage system, most vent fans will also be connected to the same GFCI. As long as that green light is on, the fans will turn on when they need to.
BASIC WATER ALARM HAS TURNED ON, NOW WHAT?
Verify drainage system has power via GFCI, if GFCI is tripped, try resetting. In the meantime, remove battery from alarm to silence.
If loss of power occurred (GFCI or power outage) and pumps are now working, allow the system to catch up. After a few hours, plug alarm back in and see if it is still alarming. If alarm is still on and GFCI light is green, call us.
WiFi SMART OUTLET IS DETECTING WATER, NOW WHAT?
Trip GFCI, wait 10 seconds and reset the GFCI. Open crawlspace access hatch and listen for noise of water flowing. If water flowing noise is heard, trip GFCI or breaker and call us.
If no noise is heard, to outside and verify water is pumping out of yard pop-up. If no water is coming out of pop-up, call us. If water is coming out of pop-up, wait 1-2 hours for the drainage system to catch up and if the alarm still shows high water, then call us.
